Visit Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre, a unique Black cockatoo sanctuary in Perth

Are you interested in visiting Kaarakin?! Then this page is for you. However, hold your car keys and we’ll explain you how you can visit our Kaarakin black cockatoo sanctuary. We are located in the beautiful Perth Hills, Perth, Western Australia, just 30 km away from Perth CBD and whilst we love visitors, all visits to Kaarakin are strictly by appointment only.

Our tours are for people of all ages. Please bring your family and friends.

  • Kaarakin Tour Weekends are organised twice a year, generally in May and October. Tickets are $15 Adults, $8 Kids (6-15 yrs), $45 Family (2 adults, 3 kids). We announce each tour weekend about two months ahead on our website, social media and email newsletter. These weekends often sell out, so be subscribed to get ahead.
  • Private tours or close encounters with black cockatoos or dingoes by appointment only. Private tours are $150 for a group of 1 to 10 people, then $15 per additional person. Close encounters are $50 per person.
  • School visits. Your school group can come to us, or we can come to you.
  • Corporate volunteering
  • Bus/Community group tours

More photos from Sunday’s Animal Interactive are flowing in from the veterans who attended and took photos. How great is…

Please note that we cannot admit people to our black cockatoo sanctuary if they have not booked, whether on a tour, a school visit or to volunteer. Our Black Cockatoo rescue and conservation centre is a very busy sanctuary and we unfortunately don’t have the resources to accompany guests without prior arrangement.
