Earlier this year, we were thrilled to host a visit from Dr Harry Cooper of Better Homes and Gardens Australia at Kaarakin.
Dr Harry was shown around by Georgia, our Avian Management Officer, and got to meet (and lose a hat to) some of our locals. The resulting segment has now been broadcast on national television, and we’re really pleased with the result!
In the video, you can see our interactive aviary and vet clinic, as well as one of our purpose-built rehabilitation aviaries where bird flocks can fly over 50m to test their strength and stamina before release – kind of like a lap pool for cockatoos.
