Special screening of the award winning, world-renowned film Black Cockatoo Crisis, Belmont Library 2nd December 2023!
Join us at the City of Belmont’s Library Theatrette for this very special event, sponsored by the City of Belmont! Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre is hosting a Black Cockatoo talk and screening of the film on Saturday the 2nd December 2023.
The screening will be followed by a short talk and Q&A with one of Kaarakin’s black cockatoo experts and special guest Princess Rex, a Baudin’s Black Cockatoo.
Come along and meet some of the team from Kaarakin and enjoy an afternoon getting a better understanding of the Black Cockatoos that call our city home. There will also be a complimentary afternoon tea before or after the sessions, hosted by the City of Belmont!
There are two screenings to choose from:
- Session 1 starts @ 1:00pm and runs till 3:00pm
- Session 2 starts @ 3:30pm and runs till 5:30pm (If sold out)

Merchandise and information will also be available outside the venue if you want to support Kaarakin or learn how you can help Black Cockatoos.
Proceeds from the screening go towards helping run the not-for-profit Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre, that enables Kaarakin to continue to rescue, rehabilitate and release these threatened and endemic cockatoos!

Tickets are for one session only so please make sure you purchase tickets for the time you wish to attend. Children under 5 do not require a ticket. Tickets are non refundable.
